About Our Language Programme
At EtonHouse International School Granada, we believe that language is the foundation of learning, communication, and cultural understanding. Our Language Programme is designed to nurture confident, articulate, and multilingual learners who can thrive in a global society. Our approach integrates literature, history, philosophy, the arts and current affairs, allowing students to see how language is interwoven with culture and society. In doing so, they become not only confident communicators but also thoughtful, empathetic learners with a deep appreciation for diverse traditions and perspectives.
Fluency in multiple languages is more than just a skill, it is a gateway to understanding, belonging and thriving in a globalised world.
Our Approach to Language
Immersive Bilingual Core
Arabic and English are at the heart of our curriculum. Students engage with both languages daily, not only in structured lessons but also across inquiry projects, discussions and everyday interactions. This balance in using both languages daily builds fluency, confidence and a strong foundation for cultural identity and global connection.
Mandarin Pathway
From the early years and beyond, families may choose for their child to study Mandarin with native-speaking educators. More than just reading, writing and speaking, our programme integrates cultural learning into the curriculum, fostering a deep appreciation and love for the language. We see Mandarin as a life skill, one that enriches students’ experiences and opens doors to new opportunities.
Culture and Global Perspective
We believe language and culture are inseparable. For our language experiences, students explore traditions, festivals, music and culture that bring languages to life. This enables our learners to gain a deeper appreciation of diverse perspectives while developing empathy, respect and a global outlook. By graduation, our learners are well-equipped to engage with confidence across multiple languages.
